Type of bugs that can damage and ruin my computer.
If you are like me and tired many different scans in the past looking for something that will protect and clean your computer, give Search-and-destroy Antispyware a try. I've been using AVG Free for about 12 years now (on the recommendation of several IT people I know). I tried Norton and MacAfee when their free trials were installed on a couple of new computers I bought. Both of them had the uncanny knack of finding a problem and freezing me up so I couldn't access my email or anything else. I ALWAYS returned to AVG and now have the 8.0 version. I agree that when surfing in Explorer, Firefox or Netscape, AVG pops up a lot of alerts but it makes me feel more confident that it is not only scanning my incoming mail but providing more security over and above the anti-virus protection that comes with my IP provider, Rogers. I don't think you will ever regret going with AVG.
